Ankle Therapy: A Korean acupuncturist developed Ankle Therapy. Dr James Minn, a Korean acupuncturist feels it increases circulation to your feet, knees, hips, lower and upper back and helps eliminate pain.  Poor circulation of blood may lead to all kinds of illness!  Blood circulating freely keeps every cell healthy. Blood flows down to the legs and hands, but doesn’t necessarily flow up sufficiently in a troubled body. Low Back Pain Relief with Quantum stilus energy- water remedies:

Recumbent Yoga for Low back pain or Sciatica:

Lie down with your legs spread in a V on the wall. Make yourself comfortable. Put a small pillow under your head. Your butt is close to the wall. Gently spread your legs farther, being careful not to go to the point of pain.  Caution: if you stretch too much you can tear ligaments in your leg or knee, which may take months to heal.  By opening up the hip you increase circulation to not only your hip and back but to your whole body.  Start with 3 minutes and you may want to increase to 10 minutes. The inverse posture helps invigorate your circulation and gives you a second wind. Contra-indication: Do not do this if you have heart problems or diabetes.  Before getting up rest on your back for 2 minutes to equalize the blood flow.

One of my clients, a contractor with a history of back and shoulder pain found that by just doing this 10-15 minutes daily most of his pain was significantly diminished.

Back pain relief:  Soak your feet in hot water with Epson salts

At the end of day treat yourself by soaking your feet in hot water with Epson salts.

It feels good as your absorb the magnesium sulfate to help reduce soreness in your muscles. The 72,000 nerves in your feet relax helping ease pain and soreness throughout your body.

Qigong for Back Pain:

When you exhale, gently wiggle your sacrum back and forth 1-5 degrees in all directions. As you exhale smile allowing your muscles to relax. Never go to the point of pain.  Do this for 2-10 minutes.  What direction makes your lower back feel more comfortable? What speed of movement makes it feel more relaxed?

Tush Cush for lower back pain:

Most of us sit for long hours compressing the vertebrae and causing the blood to flow poorly. The Tush Cush, is an orthopedic pillow that has a hole where your sacrum is.  This helps relieves some of the compression that can lead to lower back pain and exhaustion.

Trigger Point Therapy for your Lower back:

Stand up. As you put your hands in your back pocket of your pants, bring your fingers forward so they curl forward. Use the top of your pants pocket as a fulcrum to press your fingers into your butt muscles (glut’s and piriformis). Move your butt around till you find an area that is painful. Hold for 5-7 seconds.  The intensity of the pain should relax somewhat. This creates according to Dr. Travell and Dr. Nemo, who independently developed Trigger Point therapy, a relative vacuum they found that after you released the pressure, oxygen and nutrients rushed into the vacuum. The acupuncture points in the hip along with the muscles are very important to work on to help dissolve lower back pain. Many times these powerful muscles create a pull, which can affect the vertebrae in the lower back and cause subluxation. When the nerves are pinched even slightly, you can feel pain.
